Hi Reader!
Happy week 7 of Content Camp 🏕️
If you’re new, welcome! If you've been with us, you know the drill: the lesson's on the feed, the real depth is right here. The feed is the trailer and your email inbox is the full episode.
Missed last week? Catch up here before you dive in.
This week's lesson is live on the feed. Watch it for the quick version, but everything below stands on its own.
Bet you haven’t heard this one before
Every editing tip flooding your feed right now is about sound effects or transitions which are great tips, but there are two hacks nobody's covering that have made a night-and-day difference in our content.
Hack 1: Transcripting
Last week you filmed a talking video (building on Week 6) and now you're probably staring at 10 minutes of raw footage with zero idea what to cut. This is where CapCut's transcript tool becomes your best friend. I found this by accident after filming 40+ hours of footage for our Agency Course series, there was no universe where we’d be able to edit that much content manually on top of a full client load.
THEN I found this magical little feature it that turns your whole video into readable, editable text. Every awkward pause is gone in one click, right from the transcript. If you repeat the same sentence three times because you kept messing up the wording you can just read them and pick whichever one sounds cleanest on the page.
Step-by-step instructions are in the field guide below!
Hack 2: Kill the gap
Once your video's cut down, look at how your audio sits together. The move: get it as close together as possible. If you're working with a voiceover, go a step further and slightly overlap your tracks, let the next line start just before the last one ends. It's a small change, but it keeps everything moving at a fast, steady rhythm instead of feeling like it's pausing for air between every sentence.
Your Week 7 Field Guide is here 📋
This is Week 7 of 8: The Invisible Edit. Inside, you'll walk through the transcript tool step-by-step (use desktop), then edit your own talking video using both techniques, start to finish.
And by popular request the Field Guides are now fillable! Type your answers straight into the PDF, or print and screenshot if that's more your vibe.

Next week: our final week of camp (how it almost over already!!!). We’re covering text-on-screen tricks italics, drop shadows, and the animations that make your captions part of the story instead of an afterthought.
Plus, a little surprise for what’s to come post-summer camp😉
Want to build (or rebuild) your own agency empire?
We're building a 9-course series with the full playbook on how we grew our agency from the ground up, starting with 0 clients and 0 funding and scaling to working with global brands on 5-figure projects.
We’re covering everything including how to start, sell, shoot, and scale. All of the things we had to learn the hard way, pricing, pitching, client delivery, and the systems behind it all, with none of the gatekeeping
